A large array of car clubs and feature vehicles will once again be at the heart of the Motorama Custom Car & Motorsports Expo presented by eBay Motors. Twelve clubs will be represented in the main show, while 28 vehicles will be on display in Hall 1, just inside the show entrance.
Among the clubs at this year’s show are the Oldies Car Club, Corvettes of Durham, Brampton Street Rods, Golden Horseshoe Mustang Association, and Eliminators Car Club. Many clubs feature a diverse selection of vehicles, such as the Brampton Street Rods, who have everything from a ’37 Ford to a ’73 Plymouth.
From traditional clubs, with a strict rule book and their own dedicated garage space, to newer clubs, with a focus on cruise nights and the social aspect, the groups at Motorama 2025 include both annual fixtures and first-time participants.
“There’s a really good variety,” said Motorama Show Car Coordinator Gary Challice. “We’ve got some old established clubs; we’ve got the Road Runners Car Club, they’re our Featured Club this year, they started in 1956.
You go from a club that started in 1956 to the newest club that we’ve got, the Odd Wheel Car Club, they’re just two years old.”
The clubs aren’t the only example of variety at Motorama, as Hall 1 will feature a selection of 28 ‘first time shown’ vehicles, that are Canadian-owned. These feature vehicles will each have a standalone 20×20 display and range from a 1926 Ford to cars from the 1970s.
“We have two cars from 1927, we have a ’33 Roadster, a ’32 Roadster, a ’32 Coupe, we have a number of killer trucks, we have a truck coming from New Brunswick, so there’s a real good variety,” said Challice. “A lot of the street and muscle cars, like the ‘Eleanor’ Mustangs and that kind of stuff. Camaros, Firebirds, we’ve even got a ’64 Plymouth, we’ve got a 1947 cab-over Dodge truck that’s a car hauler.”
Challice says there’s a good mix between hot rods, muscle cars and trucks in Hall 1. Many of these vehicles will also be in the running for a spot in the Valvoline Canadian 10, the list of finalists that gets revealed on the Saturday morning, and the Motorama Grand Champion Award, which will be announced during the Hagerty Special Awards on the Meguiar’s Main Stage on Sunday, March 9.
Overall, it’s the quality of rides and the opportunity to see something new that stands out to Challice.
“Not only the front building, but the goal behind the Motorama show as a whole is first-time-shown vehicles,” said Challice. “You come to the show, you’re going to see a lot of stuff that you’ve never seen. The reason for that is a lot of people will build a car to drive – that’s what it’s all about – but they also want to show it for the very first time at Motorama.”
