Canadian Automobile Sport Clubs – Ontario Region [CASC-OR] will once again have a strong presence at the Motorama Custom Car & Motorsports Expo presented by eBay Motors. The organization responsible for governing motorsports in Ontario will connect with racers and fans in their booth in the Gulf Race Fuels Racing Zone presented by Stoneridge Specialty Insurance, in Hall 1B.
CASC-OR holds road racing, ice racing and time attack events, acting as a springboard for anyone looking to get involved in motorsports, while also providing an opportunity for anyone with a race car looking for somewhere to hit the track. CASC-OR race director Pat Cyr looks forward to chatting with showgoers about what the group has to offer.
“It’s the excitement of explaining what we do and how we do it… to have good conversations with people who may love our sport but don’t know where to find us,” said Cyr. “It makes me happy and proud to be able to convert that person from being someone who has the interest to someone who physically comes to the events.”
Being an entry-level and volunteer-driven form of racing means that there are three different ways that people can experience motorsports through CASC-OR.
“’Where do we come to watch these races?’ We’re going to be answering those questions with handouts with dates and locations,” said Cyr. “You’ve got people who’d like to get involved but don’t want to race, so that’s the volunteer crew… then you’ve got the people who have the interest to come and race; we want to get them out to the event, we want to answer all their questions, and we want to show them how easy it is to actually do it.”
The CASC-OR booth will have five cars of different configurations on display, along with their new series trailer and plans to bring back the popular racing simulators. There will also be TV broadcasts from last season being shown in the booth. Officials and drivers will be on-hand throughout the weekend to answer questions.
CASC-OR road racing events include a variety of different series. The Pirelli Super Touring and Grand Touring sprints feature speed-based classes that boast a wide range of vehicles, from NASCAR-style trucks and cars to Ford Mustangs and Honda Civics. There are also open-wheel, prototype, and VARAC vintage series, along with the single-make Miata Canada Cup.
New for this year will be a GTU class in the Pirelli Super Touring Sprints for vehicles that lap Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) at 1 minute and 23 seconds or less, which will allow GT1 cars that were well off the pace but too fast for GT2 to now compete for class wins.
The 2026 road racing schedule features seven events at three tracks, starting May 9-10 at CTMP. Highlights include an Open Wheel Invitational on July 25-26 at CTMP and a partnership with the new Performance Cup Canada series, owned/operated separately from CASC-OR, which will see them take part in select weekends.
The Miata Canada Cup, which entertained fans at the Indy Toronto last season, will instead join the NASCAR Canada Series race weekend at Calabogie Motorsports Park, near Ottawa, on July 18-19.
The ice racing season features events at the Minden Fairgrounds, typically from January to early March, while Ontario Time Attack uses competitors’ individual timed laps to determine results in a variety of classes, with events held throughout the summer.

CANADIAN AUTOMOBILE SPORT CLUBS – ONTARIO REGION: CASC – Ontario Region is Ontario’s governing body of motorsport.
